What will you be doing:
The Mental Health Associate, under supervision of a licensed clinician, provides mental health prevention, intervention and crisis intervention services within school settings and the community at large following a period of observation and training. Incumbents develop partnerships and deliver a full range of services consisting of assessment, group therapy, individual and family therapy when appropriate. Participates in team meetings and planning. They demonstrate motivation, creativity and serves as a catalyst for effect change. They maintain proficiency/skills including the ability to deliver care to special populations with diverse cultural backgrounds. They can identify safety concerns and institute measures to deliver safe environment.
Conducts assessments of students, as a part of the triage process and for students admitted into the program.
Participates in the treatment planning process by attending treatment team meetings.
Demonstrates sound conceptualization of problems, strengths, goals and objectives; evidence follow through on implementation of approved plans, monitors students? progress.
Conducts individual, family and group interventions.
Collaborates with internal and external sources in providing clinical treatment.
Coordinates care for patient and care delivery team as needed.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
One (1) plus years of Clinical experience with both children and adults (families).
Educational Requirements:
Master degree in Social Work (MSW). (must be completed by June 2025 to qualify)
