The community you’ll be caring for:
Our newest hospital in the Kansas City metro area — AdventHealth Lenexa City Center — will include around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services and inpatient beds for medical-surgical and short-stay units. The new campus will include:244,000 square feet Capacity for 98 total beds (44 on opening and 54 slated for future expansion) Four operating rooms (two upon opening and two slated for future dates)
The role you’ll contribute:
The OR Instrument Tech Lead technician is responsible for the training of new associates, Assists the Manager with continuing education for the instrument techs and central processors.The Lead works closely with the OR staff to insure all instrument needs are appropriately communicated in addition the lead tech will help with decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instrumentation for the main or, labor and delivery, C-section and all of our offsite clinics.Cleaning and distribution of Patient Care equipment, obtaining and tracking of rental equipment, cleaning and sterilization of all vendor instruments. Communicating with the OR staff to help with instrument turnovers, conflicts etc.Assists the OR staff with patient positioning and transporting.

·Communicates with board runner, facilitators and OR staff of any instrument issues
·Train new associates
·Assist with in-services
·Maintain count sheets
·Assist staff with quality issues
·Accurately assemble instrument trays.
·Sterilize instruments.
·Return sterile instruments to their proper location.
·Stock patient care equipment.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·High School Diploma
·1-2 years of position related experience
·Certified through IAHCSMM or CBSPD
