We are looking for a mission-driven, patient-focused Physiatrist who is committed to enhancing veterans' lives through exceptional rehabilitative care in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service (PM&RS). This role involves direct patient care in outpatient rehabilitation clinics including Spinal cord injury consults, sport medicine, wheeled mobility clinics and general rehabilitation clinics. The physician will work collaboratively with the Polytrauma Network Sites, Amputee Network Site, Spinal Cord Injury System of Care, Electrodiagnosis Services (EMG), Rehabilitation therapies and Interventional Pain Programs under the oversight of the Chief/Deputy Chief of PM&R. Key responsibilities include overseeing clinical services, integrating core values into the rehabilitation process and actively contributing to medical education by mentoring residents and fellows. Additionally, the physician will support strategic planning, resource management, and outcome-based patient care across various rehabilitation programs, such as brace, wheelchair, amputee, and cardiac rehab clinics.
This position offers leadership opportunities in clinical, educational, research, and administrative areas, including advocating for accessibility and specialized care for patients with physical and cognitive disabilities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, recreational therapy, and vocational rehabilitation, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. The role also involves performance improvement initiatives, cross-coverage for rehabilitation services, and participation in research within PM&RS.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am-4:30pm
Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine
Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States
Must have completed residency in an accredited core specialty
Board Certified in PM&R

Competitive Salary Range: $240,000-$300,000, Final Salary determination within this range.
Paid Time Off:50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
