Overview:
$400/month Summit County housing stipend available for full time residents of Summit, Park, Eagle, Grand, Clear Creek, Lake, and Chaffee Counties. Must work at least 80% physically on-site at a CommonSpirit facility in Summit County and full time or part time status (PRN ineligible). More details available upon offer.

As an OB Tech on our team, you will assist in smooth daily operations of the Labor & Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum unit. May perform direct and indirect patient care including vitals, hygiene measures, and basic care for antepartum, postpartum and newborn patients.
OB Techs functions include:
Assists with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider and within scope of practice.
Functions as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures.
Maintains supplies and equipment on the unit.
Assists with maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High Level Disinfection equipment.
Performs clerical and business support tasks as assigned.
Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.
Day to Day Duties:
Scrub for C- Sections, D&C's.
Set up and take down instruments for vaginal deliveries.
Cleaning, stocking, and preparation of patient rooms.
Stocking of equipment and supplies.
Assisting RNs as required.
Additional secretarial duties per needs of unit. Answering phones, door, computer entry in EPIC Software program.
1 OR Suite (Separate from Main OR)
40 Births per month
Schedule- 24hrs/ week- Variable- 1 day/ 1night per week
Call required: 2 Shifts per 6 week schedule
Must be within 30 minute radius of facility for Call Requirements
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
One-year patient care experience preferred, i.e. OB Tech, LPN/LVN, EMT, CNA,
Medical Assistant or Surgical Tech experience
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Basic computer skills
High School graduate or GED
Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required
Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) require
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado required. * A person performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another Colorado license, certification, or registration does not need to register as a Surgical Tech
Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
