As a Sterile Processing Tech Certified you will:
Promote improved quality and improved patient safety in the OR by ensuring the efficient flow of the Sterile Processing department.
Perform routine tasks relating to the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, equipment and sterile supplies. Responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization equipment.
Maintain records in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission and OSHA standards. Maintains Certification, and monitors, instructs and mentors non-certified.
Facilitate awareness and understanding around what is at stake with patients in the OR.
Facilitate the department's preparation of staff to pass survey/regulatory assessments.
Schedule: Monday - Friday variable but in general, 7:00am - 3:30pm but could change to 9:00am - 5:00pm depending on surgery needs
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Computer skills required
CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire or transfer
High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
Physcial Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

St. Elizabeth Hospital, located in Fort Morgan, Colorado, is a Level 3 Trauma Center and an American College of Cardiology Accredited Chest Pain Center serving northeastern Colorado. Providing care through-out the region, St. Elizabeth Hospital provides cardiology, maternal, emergency, surgical, pediatrics, and acute care inpatient services in addition to the multitude of subspecialists in our specialty clinic. At 50 beds, St. Elizabeth is the region?s referral center serving a wide span of northeastern Colorado. Since 1952, St. Elizabeth has been serving the community in Morgan County which is one of the most diverse counties in Colorado speaking more than 28 languages.
