Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: Supervises team members engaged in serving food and in maintaining cleanliness of the Nutritional Services department. Will oversee daily activities of both patient and retail operations, assisting where needed. Interacts with patients of all ages, and types of illness on rare occasions. Continually develops knowledge and skills, as appropriate, for patients of any age including neonate, toddler, school age, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in addition to the terminally ill patients. Qualifications
Education & Training: Position requires a high school diploma or general Education Degree (GED) Culinary Degree preferred.
Work Orientation & Experience: One year supervisory experience with an extensive culinary background Preferred
Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on multiple assignments under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. Ability to read and interpret procedural documents and write routine reports and correspondence using prescribed format and conform to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. . Requires management and leadership skills in addition to good planning and organization skills
