The role you’ll contribute: The Coding Quality Auditor, under the general supervision of the Outpatient Coding Manager, is responsible for the internal coding audit and clinical quality reviews.The Coding Quality Auditor will work in conjunction with the Outpatient Operations Manager to ensure the integrity of coded data, the education and training of the coding staff, as well as being a resource to the entire organization on issues related to coding data.Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Reviews outpatient records for overall coding accuracy retrospectively and concurrently at AdventHealth West Florida Division. · Reviews and addresses all third party/Regulatory Agencies requests for coding changes or quality studies. · Reviews monthly pre-bill accounts for coding accuracy and reporting on the Corporate scorecard. · Codes and abstracts charts in accordance with ICD-10-CM conventions, Coding Guidelines/Clinics, and CPT Assistant, applying coding rules applicable to AdventHealth West Florida Division and requirements of Medicare and payor specifications. · Assist with timely interaction between departments to resolve issues. · Mentor and educate other coders.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience coding outpatient records · CPC or CCS Required
