We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) team. Our facility is known for its commitment to advanced medical care and research, and we aim to enhance the health and well-being of our community.

Position Overview:

The MICU Advanced Practice Provider will play a crucial role in the management of critically ill patients. This position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for critically ill patients.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as necessary.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment options, and preventative care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical research projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in a Critical Care or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program with a minimum of one (1) year CRNP experience (which could include clinical rotations or relevant clinical experience in applicable specialty) required and three (3) years critical care experience as a staff nurse required.
• Currently licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.
• National certification as an advanced practice nurse required.
• Must possess knowledge of appropriate critical care, to include advanced cardiac life support and basic cardiopulmonary life support certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current AGACNP certification or Physician Assistant certification.
• Previous experience in an ICU setting required; fellowship training preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current Pennsylvania state license or eligibility for licensure.
