With a legacy beginning in 1902, Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College has a strong tradition of educating health care professionals.
Goldfarb School of Nursing is located on the Washington University Medical Campus in St. Louis and is affiliated with Barnes-Jewish Hospital, with a second site at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. Goldfarb is a private nursing college that enrolls over 650 students in its baccalaureate, masters and doctoral degree programs. Goldfarb has nationally recognized educational facilities with state-of-the-art classrooms, lecture halls and sophisticated Clinical Simulation Institute labs with patient simulation manikins and exam rooms that provide high-tech, advanced nursing care experiences.

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Responsible for the administration and oversight of all academic programs within the School of Nursing with a direct reporting relationship to the President of Barnes Jewish College. Dean serves as the Chief Academic Officer of the College and is responsible for educational policy, academic programs, establishing academic standards for each specialty area, and oversight of evaluation. Ensures that accreditation standards are in a state of perpetual readiness through planning, devising systems and processes for delegation, and maintaining documentation/data bases and other necessary support items Accountable for achievement of College goals and objectives within the scope of Academic Affairs.
Responsibilities
Identifies faculty skills and abilities required for successful program/curricular administration and recruits qualified faculty to ensure academic and regulatory standards are met or exceeded.
Ensure that curricula are relevant and meet regulatory and academic standards.
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Collaborates with administration to ensure faculty development and accreditation standards are met or exceeded through continuous improvement models.
Provides direct oversight on the college’s accrediting bodies by ensuring that all evaluations and assessment data points for Graduate and Undergraduate programs are collected and analyzed with outcomes.
Supports the school’s assessment plan and evaluates faculty and academic work related to student outcomes.
Provides direct oversight of in the preparation of program budgets in accordance with approved financial practices.
