Opportunity: Chief Nursing Officer
ScionHealth seeks a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to oversee St. Francis Emory Healthcare.
Position Overview
The Chief Nursing Officer holds ultimate administrative responsibility for nursing standards and practice across all areas, regardless of the practice area or reporting relationship. The CNO will direct hospital nursing activities within the context of hospital policies and procedures, ensuring continuous, high-quality nursing services to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Nursing Services Management: Ensure continuous and timely nursing services, and adherence to nursing standards, practices, policies, and procedures in line with applicable laws, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
Performance Improvement: Lead nursing service performance improvement activities.
Leadership Collaboration: Actively participate in hospital leadership functions and collaborate with hospital leaders to design and provide patient care and services, ensuring the availability of sufficient, qualified nursing staff.
Budget Management: Develop, present, and manage the budget for nursing services.
Policy Development: Develop and implement an overall nursing plan consistent with hospital policies and objectives to provide continuous nursing care and services.
Quality Assurance: Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the hospital quality assurance and improvement program through evaluation of services rendered, quality improvement, audit of medical records, patient visits, and staff counsel.
Staff Recruitment: Recruit, interview, evaluate, and hire qualified personnel to meet patient needs.
Communication: Maintain communication with medical and administrative staff through regular meetings and participation on hospital medical services committees.
Equipment and Supply Management: Evaluate long and short-term equipment and supply requirements for nursing care by forecasting service levels and quantity of materials on hand.
Training and Development: Direct, plan, and implement orientation and educational programs to promote staff training and development.
Program Development: Recommend and participate in the development of new patient care programs for the expansion of nursing care services.
Public Relations: Represent the hospital in health care programs and professional organizations to serve in a public relations capacity and stimulate professional growth.

Qualifications
Education
Licensed Registered Nurse (Required)
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
Master's Degree Required (Required) MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) or MHA (Master of Health Administration).
Experience
CNO Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a Chief Nursing Officer role within an investor-owned healthcare organization.
Joint Commission Experience: Prior experience in Joint Commission preparation and survey processes is essential.
