Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more.


Principal Accountabilities:
Always uses good interpersonal and communication skills with patients, family members and other staff. Accurately and thoroughly completes all nursing documentation needed for patients seen at PPEC/AC or when speaking to patients over the phone which includes medical and surgical history, allergies, medication intake, fall assessment, education and other pertinent information. Completes nursing assessments in Epic. Reports any abnormalities to the appropriate staff, such as surgeons' offices, anesthesiologists, etc. Educates patients and family members as needed either on a one-to-one basis or in a formal education class. Gives the appropriate pre-op instructions specific to the patients' needs and their scheduled surgery. Respects privacy, property and confidentiality with sensitivity to the diverse cultures served. Must be a team player.
