We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Application Specialist to join our Information Services team. This individual will paly a key role in driving the strategy, planning, and execution of clinical application initiatives within the Baylor Scott and White IS department. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of skill in product and project management, with a strong focus on facilitating collaboration between subject matter experts (SMEs) and business stakeholders. This role requires expertise in organizing complex workflows, documenting project plans, creating application roadmaps, and using Service Management tools to track KPIs and performance metrics.
As a Clinical Application Specialist, you will lead meeting, manage timelines, and ensure that applications are aligned with hospital priorities. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that clinical applications are continuously optimized, delivering value, and supporting the organization's clinical objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage clinical application projects requirement gathering, ensuring that the documented scope aligns with strategic goals and support IS best practices from the subject matter experts. Document and update near and long-term strategy for applications within standardized tools using feedback from the vendor and the business. Lead report-out meetings and written communication, giving status clear and concise updates on projects in flight and upcoming projects within owned applications. Facilitate meeting and discussions between cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, clinical staff, and business stakeholders, to ensure project goals are well understood and met. Leverage a Service Management tool (i.e. ServiceNow) to run reports, track KPIs, monitor delivery metrics, and measure the success of application implementations and ongoing performances. Continuously evaluate planning and strategic processes and identify opportunities for improvements, ensuring applications are optimized to meet clinical and business needs effectively.
SCHEDULE AND TRAVEL:
Full-time; standard office hours with occasional evening or weekend project work as project demands require. Hybrid office structure with in-office days 1-3 days a week in the Dallas office.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Project Management or Leadership Skills: Experience in people organization, or planning, executing, and overseeing complex projects, with strong organizational skills and an ability to manager multiple initiatives simultaneously. Experience leading cross-functional teams or serving as a project lead in a healthcare is IS setting.
Technical or Analytical Proficiency: Familiarity with Service Management tools (such as ServiceNow, Jira, or equivalent) or a demonstrated ability to analyze data trends, identity patterns, and derive actionable insights to support decision-making process. Basic proficiency in validating and interpreting data accuracy to ensure reliable recommendations based on observed outcomes.
Communication Skills:
Ability to assess project Challenges, identify solutions, and implement strategies to overcome obstacles.
Knowledge of Healthcare IT Systems:
Strong understanding of hospital information systems, clinical workflows, and electronic health record (EHR) systems in preferred.

EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
