ChristianaCare is transforming memory care services in the greater Delaware Region, and we are seeking a BC/BE Neurologist who has successfully completed either a Cognitive Neurology Fellowship or Behavioral Neurology/Neuropsychiatry Fellowship to join our dynamic and innovative team at our Swank Center for Memory Care.
This provider would join a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for providing comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and treatments for patients with memory loss as well serve as the infusion service lead.
ChristianaCare Swank Center for Memory Care:
- Multidisciplinary team includes specialists in geriatrics, geriatric psychiatry, and neurology.
- Help patients and their families navigate the many challenges faced when a loved one is diagnosed with dementia.
- Take a holistic approach to addressing the mental and physical health needs of our patients and their caregivers.
- ChristianaCare Swank Center for Memory Care was chosen by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services as a Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience (GUIDE) model for memory care program.
Cognitive Neurologist Responsibilities:
- See patients who are referred for evaluation for neurocognitive disorders at Swank Center for Memory Care.
- Evaluate potential candidates for Alzheimer's disease monoclonal antibody treatments.
- Collaborate with other Swank Center for Memory Care clinicians and staff to provide care and consultation.
- Provide education to fellow Swank Center for Memory Care staff clinicians, trainees, and community members.
- Provide on-going treatment and monitoring of infusion treatment patients.
- Work with Swank Center for Memory Care nurse navigator, infusion team staff, Swank Center for Memory Care Department Chair, and others to develop and execute protocols for infusion-based Alzheimer's disease treatments.
- Evaluate potential new dementia treatments for use within Swank Center for Memory Care.
- Develop and implement evidenced-based practices for dementia treatments, including infusion-based.
- Oversee on-going safety and QI initiatives related to anti-dementia related treatments.
- Assist with developing protocols for utilization of biomarkers in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative disorders.
- Work with ChristianaCare and Swank Center for Memory Care Leadership teams to expand care and access to infusion-based Alzheimer's disease treatments across Delaware and ChristianaCare's service areas.
- Potential for research activity/support.
- Support and promote the mission of Swank Center for Memory Care and ChristianaCare.

Qualifications:
- BE/BC Neurologist
- Cognitive Neurology Fellowship or Behavioral Neurology/Neuropsychiatry Fellowship
- Eligible to obtain license in Delaware and meet credentialing requirements.
