The EASTERN Oklahoma VA Health Care System (EOVAHCS) is seeking applications for the position of staff physician, Hematology/Oncology. We're seeking a board certified, full-time employed physician to join our Hematology/Oncology department at the Eastern Oklahoma VA Medical Center Hospital. Our ideal candidate will enjoy a busy, clinical practice and be dual board certified in Hematology Oncology. We are specifically seeking someone with interest in solid tumors, sarcoma/melanoma, as well as hematology. Join a department that is expanding to better serve veteran patients!
The Staff Physicians may have teaching opportunities due to our association with Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (OSUCOM) and the Oklahoma University of Oklahoma College of Medicine (OUCOM) program. Qualified applicants will have an MD/DO, current medical license and be board-certified or eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology. The ideal candidate for the staff physician positions will be suitable for academic appointment at OSUCOM and OUCOM. At the level of assistant, associate, or full professor, as supported by a strong track record of academic and/or clinical excellence. Applicants must also be eligible for appointment at the VA. The clinical activities of the Section of Hematology/Oncology span the breath of the subspecialty and are strongly supported by surgery, pathology, radiology and the other staff members of Medicine Service.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, (May be required to work evenings or weekends as a 24/7 Full-Time Physician).
Expected Salary
Salary range is $270,000 to $340,000 & potential for annual performance bonus up to $15,000

Contract buy out program: VHA Contract Buy Out Program: This position may be eligible for the Physician / Provider Contract Buy Out Program (CBOP), which authorizes VHA to buy out service contracts (Locum agreements, loan repayments, sign-on bonus contracts, Physician-owned practices) in exchange for employment at certain rural or highly rural facilities for a period of obligated service (minimum 4 years).

Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.
Board Certification in Hematology & Oncology is preferred, but Board Eligibility may also be considered. Additional board certification in Internal Medicine is preferred
