Details:
Full-time, Days, Monday-Friday (7:00am-4:00pm)
Call shared equally between the APPs
Rotating weekend rounds when on call
Responsibilities:
Daily patient rounds (including CVICU), patient education, and discharge summaries
Perform invasive procedures such as thoracentesis, chest tube insertions, arterial lines
Retrieve vascular tissue, including greater and lesser saphenous, veins, and radial arteries
Endoscopic retrieval methods and involved in the industrial aspect of EVH
First-assist on all cardiac/thoracic cases
Knowledge of the pharmacologic effects of vasoactive/cardiotonic drugs, ventilator care, and artificial cardiac devices
Helps manage the pre and post-surgical patients under the supervision of the surgeons in the operating room, inpatient and clinic setting.
Qualifications:
Must be Board Certified
Must hold either ACNP or PA certifications
Surgical experience as a RN or PA is preferred

The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021.
