KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Communicates with courtesy when interacting with internal or external patients and customers—in person or on the telephone.

• Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations and identifying any medical conditions.
• Obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories of patients.
• Determines abnormalities by administering and/or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies.
• Interpreting test results of patients.
• Able to provide pre and post-operative care, if applicable. This would apply if PA is located in a surgical practice.
• Perform therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.

• Thorough knowledge of techniques required for diagnosing, treating, prescribing medicines for pre and post-operative patients.

• Should be an active listener, learner, with critical thoughts, reasoning and possess good judgment skills to make decisions using scientific methods and tools to provide solutions to problems.
