Job Description
The Department of Medicine is the largest clinical department at MSK and encompasses experts in solid tumor oncology, hematologic malignancies, subspecialty medicine and supportive and acute care services. Offering a range of services both in multiple sites in New York City and at their suburban outpatient locations in our Regional Care Network (RCN), DoM physicians oversee the care of the whole patient. The Infectious Disease Service in the Division of Subspecialty Medicine within the Department of Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a full-time Academic Clinician at the Instructor level or higher focused on patient care, education and research at our Manhattan location. The successful candidate will practice infectious diseases within the setting of a major cancer center with a special emphasis on infectious complications associated with the diagnosis of cancer, the use of cancer therapies, including chemotherapy, targeted biological therapies, cellular therapies, and immunotherapies.
The 17 physicians in the Infectious Disease Service at MSK provide consultations for a 500-bed hospital, outpatient clinics, and support for a growing regional network. The service includes an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Infectious Disease and incorporates advanced practice providers in clinical activities. The Infectious Disease service incorporates a physician-led Allergy Program that offers outpatient consultations to evaluate and manage reported antibiotic allergies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Clinically evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of infectious syndromes and mimics on the inpatient and outpatient clinical service.
- In the outpatient clinical setting (one-half day per week), manage and prevent infectious syndromes related to cancer and oncologic treatments.
- Contribute to the teaching and research missions including supervising Infectious Disease fellows, medical residents, medical students, and advance practice providers.
- Participate in educational activities.
- Serve on institutional and service committees.
Requirements Include:
- MD., D.O., or equivalent with excellent clinical, communication and team skills
- Board eligible or board certified in Infectious Diseases
- New York and New Jersey State license eligible
- Certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Child Abuse Identification & Reporting

Salary: $140,000 - $590,000
Physician compensation is based on multiple variables. This range represents annual salary only and does not include supplemental performance-based pay or any one-time payments that eligible candidates may be offered at the time of hire.
