Seeking Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) for the Greater Los Angeles (GLA) VA with opportunities at West Los Angeles, Ventura, Lancaster, Sepulveda, and Santa Maria clinics. The VA is mission-oriented and provides exceptional care to those who have served in our nation’s military.
PCPs lead patient-centered medical homes to provide longitudinal and preventative care to a panel of Veterans. Primary care team members include nurses, social workers, integrated mental health providers, and pharmacists, administrative support for scheduling, among others. The GLA VA is affiliated with David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Opportunities exist for an academic appointment at UCLA as a clinician-educator to teach medical students, internal medicine residents and other trainees.
Successful candidates will demonstrate superb communication skills, a track record of leading teams, a strong background in clinical excellence, and commitment to improving Veteran health and well-being. Previous experience in teaching is preferred for clinics that are part of academic training programs. All qualified applicants, including women and minorities, are encouraged to apply.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine
Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license from any state or US territory.
Must have completed residency in an accredited core specialty
Preferred minimum of 5 years of practice, but not required.

VHA Medical Centers provide a wide range of services including traditional hospital-based services such as surgery, critical care, mental health, orthopedics, pharmacy, radiology and physical therapy. In addition, most of our medical centers offer additional medical and surgical specialty services including audiology & speech pathology, dermatology, dental, geriatrics, neurology, oncology, podiatry, prosthetics, urology, and vision care.
