Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is seeking a passionate and inspiring nurse leader to serve as its next Chief Nursing Officer.
Located in Saint Johnsbury, Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital's robust rural health system includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multiple primary care clinics, specialty and surgical services, birth center, and a 24-hour, physician-staffed emergency department. The CNO is a collaborative and strategic patient care leader responsible for the practice of nursing at NVRH. This position provides oversight, support and advocacy for the professional practice of nursing, promoting communication and collaboration throughout the organization. The CNO is a visible leader who is progressive, empathetic and quality-driven. A member of the senior leadership team, the CNO participates in all aspects of NVRH's mission, strategic planning, budget development and resources allocation. The CNO is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and administration of direct patient care activities, nursing practice, and nursing education and development across the organization; is involved in quality and process improvement initiatives, as well as in programs to help ensure the efficacy and cost-efficiency of daily operations.
Reporting to the CEO, the CNO works with the team of senior leaders to deliver on NVRH's mission: To improve the health of all people in the communities we serve. This is accomplished by providing high quality healthcare services focused on community needs, at the lowest cost consistent with excellent care, and by cooperating with other organizations to provide medical, educational, and preventive/wellness services.
