LabCorp is seeking a Report Coordinator - Pathology Support to join our team in Brentwood, TN. This position performs a variety of activities in support of pathology services. This position will perform administrative/clerical and laboratory assistance on behalf of the pathology staff. This position will require direct communication with clients and laboratory staff.
The work schedule for this position is: Monday - Friday; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Job Duties:
The Report Coordinator ensures all cases entering the pathology suite are processed to completion according to pathologist/client expectations within quality, time, and volume constraints.
Review of test requisition and submitted medical records to verify test orders, sample type, and clinical information. Assigns cases to appropriate pathologist according to established protocol.
Adds, reflexes, cancels, or sends out testing as directed by pathologists/clients.
Monitors alert worklist and investigates, takes action, follows up, and/or resolves issues as necessary.
Responds with urgency to requests for information from pathologists, clients, or laboratory departments to resolve reporting delays, client concerns, and IT issues.
Prepares revised reports for pathologist signature.
Coordinates communication between pathologists, laboratory departments, and clinicians to ensure timely completion and reporting of laboratory test results to client.
Provides general office support to Pathology Department including phones, faxing, filing, email, US mail, FedEx shipping, document scanning, and preparation of materials for off-site storage.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Interpersonal communication - Ability to communicate in a respectful, professional, and pleasant manner with coworkers, staff, and physicians.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to compose emails and other written documentation using proper English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Time management - Ability to prioritize and organize tasks while maintaining flexibility to meet varying demands of the workflow.
Problem-solving skills - Ability to discern, process, and implement correct course of action within scope of job duties.
Teamwork - Ability to work collaboratively with coworkers and staff to achieve departmental and company goals of patient care.
Computer skills - Competency in use of computer equipment, scanner, printer/copier, and Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience/Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of Medical Office educational/certificate program is highly preferred
1 year of experience in other support services/administrative office setting is required
1-2 years of support services or administrative experience in a medical laboratory, physician office, hospital healthcare unit, or similar healthcare setting is highly desirable
