The role you’ll contribute:
The Manager of Respiratory Therapy reports directly to the Director of Acute Care and has 24-hour accountability, authority and responsibility for quality and safety of patient care/services, operational management, and people management for the areas within areas of responsibility. The Manager fosters the integration of the organization’s vision and values, and accomplishes the mission and strategic plan by being supportive and accountable to all leadership competencies.
As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Manager collaborates with patients/customers, families, physicians, administration and all associates to meet customer needs and expectations in a patient focused and healing environment for inpatients and outpatients.

Support the Mission, Vision and Values by always leading in a manner exemplifying our core Values (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence and Stewardship). · Support the operational objectives by creating department goals that contribute to the organizational visions. · Prioritizing the patient as our highest responsibility ensuring that safety, clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction are foremost in the minds of our associates. · Oversees the day-to-day departmental operational and clinical activities. · Supervises staffs and gives technical direction, delegation of staff responsibilities. · Interprets and directs the implementation of respiratory programs, policies and procedures and assumes the responsibility for ensuring that the programs meet hospital’s accreditation standards. · Hires, mentors, reviews and counsels non-management employees. · Directs the orientation of new employees, as well as oversees the training for new employees as needed. · Provides timely communication on pertinent information to the Director.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy · Minimum 3 years Respiratory Therapy experience in an acute-care setting · Previous leadership experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
· 5 years of position-related experience · Leadership experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
· Registered Respiratory Therapist · BLS and NRP certifications
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The manager supervises the team for Respiratory Therapy.
