As an Architectural Design Project Coordinator, you will provide CAD support for priority capital projects under $100k within UCLA Health Real Estate | Planning, Design & Construction. You will also oversee small projects from initiation to completion. Primary duties include:
•Develop CAD drawings by working through design development, schematic design, and construction documentation.
•Oversee project review for compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
•Oversee the hiring and coordination of contracted engineers.
•Assist Project Managers in communicating with contracted vendors and UCLA Health clients.
•Manage submittals to HCAI plan check.
•Coordinate construction administration and inspector visit agendas.
•Manage small projects with regular guidance, from cost estimation to close-out.
•Ensure all training and close-out documents meet contract requirements and are properly distributed.
•Recommend modifications to design, construction, and vendor contracts, as needed.

The full hourly salary range for this position is $36.49 - $76.05/hour. Please note - the department’s target pay range is $36.49 - $45.00/hour.
Qualifications
•At least one year of experience in using CAD.
•Minimum of one year of professional experience working in design, construction, FFE, or related field.
•Working knowledge of design and construction processes.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training.
•Excellent time management, with ability to organize and facilitate projects.
•Ability to interpret legal and technical documents.
•Skill in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines despite workload changes.
•Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
•Knowledge of building codes, UCLA standards, and accessibility regulations - preferred.
