Nemours is seeking a Painter (Plant Operations) to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Orlando, Florida.

The Painter is responsible for rehabbing and painting of Nemours' clinics and office spaces interiors and occasionally exteriors in Central Florida. The Painter should be able to:

• Read blueprints/drawings/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.
• Make on-site preparations such as posting notices, building scaffolding, covering fixtures, installing drop cloths, etc.
• Conduct drywall repair as needed prior to painting. Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster) to match existing wall finish
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
• Mix primers and paints to prepare the right color or texture.
• Paint surfaces according to finish schedule in provided blueprints/drawings/instructions using appropriate tools.
• Apply varnish and other finishes according to finish schedule in provided blueprints using appropriate tools.
• Clean work area of dust, paint, solvents, etc.
• Remove any scaffolding, fixture covers, or drop cloths as appropriate.
• Remove notices once area is safe to be occupied.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of six (6) months experience required.
• DMV check required. Will be driving company vehicle as needed to clinic locations.
• Work with minimal direct supervision.
• Take and follow directions given.
• Manage multiple tasks quickly and efficiently.
