Under the direction of an RN is responsible for patient safety, welfare, and the implementation of therapeutic milieu and treatment plans. Serve as a patient observer on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require any degree of observation in order to maximize patient safety. Perform general receptionist and clerical duties in order to facilitate efficiency of the nursing unit.
Qualifications
Experience
1.5 Years of Mental/ Behavioral Health Experience
Education
High school diploma or equivalent X Required
Two (2) years of collegiate coursework to include general psychology, interpersonal communication, abnormal psychology, and/or human growth and development X Preferred
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Licenses/Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) X Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
Handle with Care Certification or CPI within 90 days of hire
