About the Role:
Department Overview
Medical Intermediate Care (IMC) is a 20-bed unit with all private rooms. As a medical IMC unit, care is provided for a variety of intermediate care medical patients including but not limited to:
- Patients requiring more frequent monitoring than every 4 hours.
- Patients requiring more frequent monitoring, which may include advanced respiratory support such as BiPap, HiFlo Oxygen, Vapotherm, and trached patients requiring chronic ventilator support.
- Endocrine Emergencies requiring more frequent monitoring. DKA
- Gastroenterology requiring more frequent monitoring.
- Alcohol withdrawal with CIWA score < 26
Minimum Job Qualifications
Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
Educational Requirements: Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required
Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience - Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
