We are seeking an Aesthetician in our Duke Aesthetics Center clinic located in Durham, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team to provide direct and indirect care to patients.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares, administers, and documents procedures and therapies according to established policies and procedures. Documents the patient response to care and modifies the plan of care as needed.
Performs consultations, provides information, and supportive teaching to patients.
Performs skin consultations with a specific focus on facial aging, acne skin care, and acne treatments. This would include peels and facial treatments.
The ability to maintain all aesthetic and cosmetic equipment in working order. Checks inventory weekly to prevent depletion of stock. Organizes and maintains supplies in an orderly fashion
Administrative duties: to include but not limited to: making patient appointments, follow up phone calls, organizing stock, and assisting the program coordinator.
Documents return visits, referrals, and scheduling of procedures according to policy.
Remains informed of new products and procedures and attends continuing educational opportunities as required or recommended.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Work requires a general education background normally equivalent to a high school education.
Current License in Aesthetics from North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners.
Trained in medical skin care product lines.
