SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for operating a rotorcraft to transport an emergency team to pick up and deliver patients to health care facilities, for the preparation of flight plans, for ensuring the readiness of the aircraft for flights, and for overseeing the loading, weight distribution, and securing of equipment, provisions and passengers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate?s Degree or training equivalent to a two-year program in aircraft operation, plus 2 to 3 years of effective experience required.
FAA Commercial pilot certificate with rotorcraft and helicopter instrument rating required (Airline Transport Pilot certificate is preferred. If hired with Commercial certificate only, pilot must complete ATP certification within one year of employment ? using company aircraft.)
Must be able to meet "Pilot-in-Command" qualifications in accordance with FAR Part 135.
Minimum of 2,000 hours total time, 3,000 is preferred.
Previous EMS experience or military medevac-type flight experience is preferred.
Time in AS365 series and/or H155 model is preferred.
